Rumor: AMD Ryzen 6000 Rembrandt APUs Already In Mass Production

Rumor: AMD Ryzen 6000 Rembrandt APUs Already In Mass Production

AMD's packaging operations in China, according to leaked information from dataminer Greymon55, will have six new products ready to debut in the first half of 2022. The zen3+ architecture, which is an APU, would already be in production.

AMD Rembrandt is expected to be released as the Ryzen 6000 processor for desktop and laptop computers in the near future. The Ryzen 5000 series, codenamed Cezanne, will be replaced by the 6000U and 6000H series, which will be released at the same time as AMD's 3D V-Cache-based desktop processors are unveiled.

In a number of leaked schematics, Rembrandt has already been identified as having either Zen3 or Zen3 Plus architectures. They quite possibly are the first processors to enable DDR5 memory compatibility, even before the high-end Raphael CPUs, which are anticipated to launch later this year or early the following year. It is also expected that the Rembrandts will be based on TSMC's 6nm technology.

Nonetheless, the integrated Navi2 visuals will be the most significant enhancement provided by Rembrandt. Graphics that are the same as those found in the Van Gogh APU of Valve's portable console, the Steam Deck Because Rembrandt is a more powerful APU, it is highly likely that the GPU will have more cores and perform at a higher level of performance. The rumored AMD schematics are constantly being updated. AMD did not confirm its products beyond 2022. And also none of these names: Raphael, Phoenix, Granite Ride and Strix Point have appeared in official company statements.

Rembrandt could be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in 2022. AMD debuted the Ryzen 4000 Renoir and Ryzen 5000 Cezanne processors at this expo. The NVIDIA RTX 3000 series was introduced at the same time as the latter. NVIDIA is expected to enhance its line of GPUs with the Ampere GA103 chip, which will be part of a new SUPER series. This would be an excellent opportunity to publicize Rembrandt's work.

It's good to see RDNA2 finally being used in APUs.
But I wonder what they are going to do about memory bandwidth.
If they manage to ad 32MB of Infinity cache, it might just give it a huge boost.

yeah glad to finally see this. Vega is just getting too old plus I worry about long-term driver support for it

So the APUs are labeled Zen 3+... so is that an actual normal update to the architecture rather than just slapping on some more cache like Zen 3D? If so why would they do that only for the APU parts?

Either way it's looking like the Zen 3D chips are the last lineup that will include a high-end chip for AM4. So I guess I'm stuck going for that, which should be fine considering it should be more than good enough to ensure the CPU is not a bottleneck at 140 fps for a while.
