Review: Fractal Design Era ITX Titanium Gray chassis

Mini-ITX has become a popular form factor, building a small PC with high-end class hardware is hip. In that mindset Fractal Design today releases the new ERA series chassis. The many models offered are versatile, have a chimney based airflow and the looks, oh man the looks.

At first glance this is giving off big Xbox 360 design vibes

Unfortunately, its asking price is about average in comparison to many other sff cases out there, many of which are made by start up businesses. I mean $200 USD for a metal shoebox. It's something those looking to build tiny PC's have to contend with, with a couple of exceptions such as the Fractal Node 202. Sometimes, as I have found, keeping a keen eye open for specials helps. Earlier this year I scored a Raijintek Ophion Evo for $120 USD and it houses one of my other rigs.

Looks like it has the same overheating problems as the 360 did at launch. It's probably one of the worst performing sff cases on the market today.
