Radeon R9 295X2 Available Starting Today
If you have been waiting for it, the AMD Radeon R9 295X2 will start selling today in stores. The dual-Hawaii XT GPU based monster has two times 6 Billion transistors, two 512-bit Memory bus with 2x4 GB - 5.0 Gbps GDDR5 memory, and combined that totals up towards a cool 11.5 TFLOPS of compute performance.
Each Hawaii chip is paired with a cool 4 GB GDDR5 graphics memory running over a 512-bit memory interface. That means the card in total has 8 GB of graphics memory. Now you'd figure that AMD would at the very least be a little conservative when it comes to the core clock frequency of the GPUs as two of these puppies will produce quite a bit of heat and utilize a nice sum of power, but no Sir... each GPU runs at (up-to) 1018 MHz, hmmmhh yummie.

P.S Power and heat? Slight drawbacks...makes you wonder how much they would charge without the better cooling..
