Power Loader suit brings back Aliens memories

Engineers from Activelink aim to bring what was once in the realm of science fiction to the real world with its Power Loader suit that was inspired by the fictional hydraulic exoskeleton suit found in the classic film Aliens, where its 230 kg frame is made from an aluminum alloy.

This dual-arm power amplification robot will feature 18 electromagnetic motors which allow the wearer to lift a whopping 100 kgs without breaking a sweat, while using a simple, intuitive control system that offers direct force feedback so that the operator is able to have a direct feel of the robot's movement during use. Currently in the development phase, Activelink hopes to see a commercial version arrive in the markets by the time 2015 rolls around.
