Point of View launches Intel Atom Based Windows 8.1 tablets

Point of View launches Intel Atom Based Windows 8.1 tablets

Point of View launches a new tablet line based on the latest Intel Atom platform and Microsoft Windows 8.1 Operating system. In the new Mobii Windows tablet line there are three models available: The 10 inch Mobii WinTab 1000W and Mobii WinTab 1000BW and the 8 inch Mobii WinTab 800W.

Intel x86 and Microsoft Windows 8.1

Sometimes your trusty IOS or Android tablet just doesn’t offer you the same functionality as your good ‘ol PC does. Perhaps you’re a Photoshop junkie, an experienced Microsoft office user or maybe an avid user of an application you’ve been using for years now.

Probably everybody has some x86 Windows specific programs that you need to use but won’t run on your current tablet. With the new Mobii Windows tablets this is all in the past. The Quad core Intel Atom Z3735 processor running on a variable speed, will automatically clock its performance to a maximum of 1.83 GHz, offering Intel level performance for a seamless experience that delivers the full productivity of Windows 8.1 with compatibility for your programs. All three models are included with a 1-year subscription to Microsoft’s Office 365 personal. This really opens up the doorway to true portable workstations and the Mobii WinTab tablets are best classified as that. The compatibility and feature set of your Desktop PC or Notebook but the true portability of a Tablet!

Mobii WinTab 1000W / Mobii WinTab 1000BW

The 10 inch models are available in two different memory configurations; the W-version has 2048 MB RAM and 32 GB storage memory whilst the (lite) BW-version has 1024 MB RAM and 16 GB storage.

The 1280 x 800 IPS display will give you an incredibly clear and vivid image quality while offering the best viewing angles possible. Unique about the Wintab 1000 series is that the device contains an easy accessible SPCI (Smart Personal Computer Interface) slot to add 3G functionality by adding an optional 3G UltraStick.

Mobii WinTab 800W

The 8 inch version is built onto the same configuration as the 10 inch WinTab 1000 series. However with its low weight of 400g and slim design, it’s a bit more convenient to carry it around. The tablet features – just as its larger siblings - a display resolution of 1280 x 800 as well as the same  Quad core Intel Atom Z3735 processor

The Mobii WinTab 800W has 1024 MB of system memory to work with and is equipped with 16 GB of storage memory. The latter can of course be expanded by adding a Micro SD card.

All models have dual (2.0 + 2.0 MP) webcams and have Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n support. For optimal heat dissipation and physical strength, WinTab tablets are designed with a combination of plastic and aluminium.

The tablets are impressive by superb specifications and are extremely competitively priced, with the inclusion of Microsoft Office 365 personal 1-year, ready for students, home users as well as business users!

Availability of these products is expected mid-July, together with a line of accessories specially made for the WinTab product range.
