Optoma Ultra Short Throw Laser Projectors 400UST series
Optoma has launched the 400UST DuraCore series today, an ultra short throw (UST) laser projector series with 4,000 ANSI lumens, the highest in the UST market place. These units are available in Full HD 1080p and WXGA resolutions.
The 400UST series, unveiled at ISE earlier this year, includes four new UST laser projectors, including ZH400UST, ZW400UST, ZH400USTi, and ZW400USTi.
Equipped with Optoma DuraCore Technology and IP5X certification, the 400UST series is powered by a long-lasting, low maintenance, lamp-free, laser light source, delivering consistent, high brightness of up to 20,000 hours and superior color reproduction with vivid images. Supporting 24/7 operation and versatile orientation, including portrait mode and downward projection, the 400UST series offers a flexible, powerful, and bright UST projector range. It is, therefore, ideal for signage solutions where space or accessibility can be limited, such as shop windows or retail displays. Weighing only 5.6kg, the 400UST series projectors can be ceiling mounted just centimetres away from the wall or shop window, projecting an image size of over 100 inches (254cm).
The interactive models of 400UST series – ZH400USTi and ZW400USTi – are also built with ‘TouchBeam’ finger-touch interactive technology feature, transforming any surface into an interactive experience. The highly responsive ‘TouchBeam’ supports up to 10 multi-touch points for collaborative working. With Office Viewer functionality built in, the 400UST series allows presentations to be made by merely plug-and-play without laptop or PC.
Gordon Wu, Assistant Vice President at Optoma APAC, commented: “The 400UST series models are the lightest and brightest UST laser projectors in their category. With 0.25 UST throw ratio, 1080p/WXGA resolution, the compact chassis, and versatile installation, this series is definitely an exemplary projector for digital signage solutions.”

4K Projector
I have been using my projector for 2.5 years now its great I love it, It's 1080p resolution and has a brightness of 3500 lumens, I really would like a 4k but the prices for one are extremely high, You can buy 1080p projectors brand new for £400 great price but 4k your looking at £3000, Why so dear I can buy a 4k monitor for £300, Please bring down prices.

Interesting sounding projector, that built in TouchBeam tech allowing 10 multi-touch points sounds especially interesting. Could do some fun things with that

Shame there is no price given, time and again I find myself seeing some news tech item that's potentially really interesting, but with no hint of a price or RRP, I try to google a price and come up empty... then never look at that product again, ever.
There's also no mention of the words "affordable" or "consumer" in the release, so you can expect the prices to be extremely high anyway. These are basically targeted at retail displays and boardrooms, where daylight viewing and low maintenance are key needs.

Yup, kinda what I figured. That is a good part of the reason I am not likely to look at items like these again after these little news items, a decent mention price now and then could change that ....one can hope anyways.
though that is most likely tbh why no price was mentioned in the 1st place.
I'm always happy to read these when they come though, just means these cool items are there and also one step close to a price I can actually afford lol
