NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 tested in benchmark; 60% faster than RTX 3090 Ti
In regular tests, we do not know how much quicker the RTX 4090 can be than the RTX 3090 Ti. As it turns out, the card was previously evaluated with the Geekbench CUDA benchmark, with the GPU scoring an fantastic 42K points
This means the RTX 4090 is 1.6x quicker than the RTX 3090 Ti and 1.8x faster than the RTX 3090, that's excluding DLSS etc. That is a vast improvement for just this type of test. We cannot, of course, put this performance into gameplay. NVIDIA's RTX 4090 GPU will be available on October 12th.

This is a synthetic benchmark, highly parallelized and optimized.
Chances are that most games won't get even 60% performance increase in rasterization.
And then there are the price increases.
This might be the first GPU generation were price/performance recedes, because GPU makers decided so.
There isn't even the excuse of mining to justify this rip-off.
The 3090 was (officially) 1500 usd at release, while the 4090 is officially 1600 usd... in actuality i paid 13k dkk for my 3090 strix, and will end up paying 19k dkk for the 4090 strix. The 4090 is gonna be close to the advertised 80% faster at 8k.
The "4080's" are rip-offs, but not the 4090 - at least not looking at it 3090 vs 4090.

I'm interested to see performance difference compared to 3090 Ti in rasterization performance.
I just hope it can maintain 120+ FPS in 1440p 240Hz or 90+ FPS in 4K at maximum settings.

The fact that you think 1500 for a GFX card is normal means nVidia conditioned you well the last two years.

Last 2 years? Either you are new to the tech bizz, or you just don't know what you are talking about.
Nvidia started this BS back with kepler and the titan. Nvidia has now dropped the titan name, but it is essentially what the x90 model is.
Do i think 1500 for a gpu is a fair price? No, but the 4090 price is alot more fair than the price for the "4080" models.
