New Core i7 8700K Cinebench Scores Leaked - Shows Better Perf
Last week some Coffee Lake Core i7 8700K scored leaked online through a Youtuber who ran a Cinebench with Intel Core i7-8700K on a HP Omen PC. The score was a little average, a new Cinebench CB15 benchmark however leaked through Asia.
The new results look much better and the 6-core processors seems to score ~1400 CB with Cinebench 15. The results come from an engineering sample proc with 3.7 GHz base clock, 4.3 Turbo and a 4.7 GHz single tread turbo. The score is based upon a MSI Z370 Krait motherboard that holds 16GB DDR4 2666 memory.
CPU-Z was also tested and with 3832 point is scores better then the roughly 2650 points for the a 7700K. The single core perf was 5% faster which makes sense with a slightly faster single threaded turbo. It is suggested the proc ran 5.3 GHz on liquid-cooling. Intel will officially introduce the Coffee Lake series 8th Generation core processors with the 8700K next month.

43% increase in performance from i7 6700k with 2 core 4 thread more..impressive.Can give 43% increase in FPS too?
Cinebench scores can not be compared to gaming performance.
My Ryzen 1700 with the stock 200Mhz XFR boost gets around 1400 also, but the singlecore perfomance on my Ryzen is probably lower then your 6700k, making your CPU faster in allot of games.
I would not buy a 8700k if i had a 6700K already unless you are streaming or something that uses the last 2 cores.

Doubt it, but finally people with quad cores have something worth upgrading to.
Wile costing a kidney.
