MSI registers a bunch of Z490 Motherboards

Yes, it is not exactly a secret that the upcoming Comet-Lake-S processors (up to 10 cores) from Intel will require a new motherboard (Socket LGA 200). So it will not be a surprise either if things start leaking.

The source of many brands, products, and name leaks remains to be Eurasian Economic Commission website, this round there are new entries to be found on the Z490 from, lots of MSI motherboard names.

Exactly, good Z390 motherboards are powerfull enough to handle 10core Coffee Lakes, hell my Apex XI doesn't even hit peak VRM efficiency with the 9900K at 1.35v...
This is a srsly garbage move from Intel...

I think the attempt of delivering pci express 4.0 is the reason why they started with another chipset. May it be?

They should kill it unless they get PCIe 4.0.

PCIe 4.0 is a feature of LGA 1200 but Intel pulled PCIe 4.0 support from their initial LGA 1200 CPUs.

As mentioned above, there is literally no reason to buy these boards.

Why did they pull the plug on pci-e 4? There must be some grand reason because this alone makes people just forget that these boards will exist..

A few sources mentioned something about the PCIe signal integrity not being clean enough.
