MSI launches cheaper Gaming M (X) series based on RX 5600 XT

MSI launches cheaper Gaming M (X) series based on RX 5600 XT

MSI launches a more affordable Gaming product line for its video cards, starting with the RX 5600 XT. The Gaming M and MX series is grouped below the regular Gaming line and offers a distinctive sual-fan cooler and moderate speeds.

The Gaming M and MX have base clock speeds of 1130 and 1280MHz respectively. Both models have dual fan cooling, so no Twin Frozr 7 cooling here. Like their predecessors, the cards both have two 8-pin connectors, and the same connections. This concerns an HDMI port and three DisplayPort connections.

MSI brings the Gaming M (X) considerably weaker clock speeds. This is most severe with the Gaming MX. This offers a boost and game clock of 1620 and 1495 MHz which is considerably lower than the 1750 and 1615 MHz of the Gaming X. The Gaming M is also clocked lower than the Gaming, with a boost clock of 1560 MHz instead of 1600 MHz. Below is an overview of the four models.

Pricing has not been detailed.

Gaming MX 1280MHz 1495MHz 1620MHz
Gaming 1185MHz 1420MHz 1600MHz
Gaming X 1420MHz 1615MHz 1750MHz
