MSI introduces two variants of GeForce GTX 1630 and strips external power source

MSI would begin handling two GeForce GTX 1630 graphics card model, this round the (unneeded) external power connectors have been stripped.

VENTUS XS 4G OC GeForce GTX 1630
The "GeForce GTX 1630 VENTUS XS 4G OC" belongs to the "VENTUS" series and has a basic and durable design that excludes LED functions and colorful shrouds. It also has an original two fan cooler with great cooling performance. The graphics card's heat is certainly cooled, and reliable functioning may be anticipated at all times. The major specs are: boost clock maximum 1,815MHz, memory speed 12Gbps, memory bus width 64bit, GDDR6 4GB video memory, DisplayPort 1.4a 1, HDMI 2.0b 1, DualLink DVI-D 1. The bus interface is PCI Express 3.0 (x16), the card dimensions are 178 mm long, 112 mm wide, 39 mm thick, 446 g weight, and there is no auxiliary power connection present.


OC GeForce GTX 1630 AERO ITX
The "GeForce GTX 1630 AERO ITX 4G OC" is a small variant with a card length of 170mm that works in a Mini-ITX chassis or HTPC. The VGA cooler includes an original single fan cooler. The major specs are: boost clock maximum 1,815MHz, memory speed 12Gbps, memory bus width 64bit, GDDR6 4GB video memory, DisplayPort 1.4a 1, HDMI 2.0b 1, DualLink DVI-D 1. Interesting.

As the owner of the GTX 1650 running in a server, i got this card for the very reason for now wanting that additional power connector.

It would be interesting to see if anything faster can be pushed without the need of an external power connector above the GTX 1650 range....

I already thought the 1650 didn't make sense with a connector as the performance was so low that unless u planned on using it in a low profile low power configurations i don't see the point as APU's would be a better option.
