MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti VENTUS XS + TU116 GPU Photos have Leaked

MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti VENTUS XS + TU116 GPU Photos have Leaked

That a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti series is inbound, is not exactly a secret anymore. Multiple AIB cards already have surfaced at retailers. New, however, are PCB and actual GPU photos.

The news reaches us through videocardz who posted photos of two MSI Ventus models, the XS and non-XS. The XS has the same PCB as the GTX 1660 Ti GAMING X and reveals to be a 4+2 VRM design. The PCB shot shows two additional free SMT traces for GDDR6, that means, in theory, this could have been an 8GB product.

As you can see, it has a TU116-400 GPU with apparently 1536 shader cores tied towards 6GB of GDDR6 memory. It is suggested there will be two video cards based on the chip, namely the GTX 1660 and the 1660 Ti. The Ti variant thus will get GDDR6 graphics memory, the non-Ti would get GDDR5 graphics memory as well as a 6GB and 3GB configuration. The 1660 series would not have Raytracing and Tensor cores. We expect the cards to occupy the 200 to 300 USD price domain.

Have a peek below at the photos.

I'm guessing that it'll be between the 980 Ti and the 1070, somewhere around that.
I'm pretty curious about its power consumption though.

If it is priced below Vega 56 (as it should be), count me in. Let's see.

it's not going to be faster than Vega 56.... probably around GTX 1070
