Microsoft Flight Simulator X vs Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Comparison Video
YouTube channel “ Flight Sim ” published a very nice comparative video between Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. The video, more specifically, compares the airports present in both flight simulators.
Flight Simulator X was released back in 2006 and at the time looked pretty sweet. Now, it's outdated alright. Flight Simulator 2020 offers graphics that are speechless for most. Of course it is an unfair comparison, but it serves to illustrate the enormous advance of graphic technology from that moment to the present day.
In Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, players will be able to fly highly detailed planes in an incredibly realistic world. The sim will feature both day and night environments as well as challenging weather conditions as well as use real flight information to populate the air of airplanes.
PC gamers will need either an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 CPU or an Intel i5 4460; at least 8GB of RAM , 160GB of hard drive space and a 5Mbps Internet connection. Microsoft also listed the AMD Radeon RX 570 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX770 as the graphics cards needed to meet the minimum requirements.

There was never a lack of AA in MSFS, just need to enable/max it out, bet it won't need a lot of tweaking to get every little jaggie removed with the new version either.

With the new FS it might even be pointless to use huge texture mods

Agree, VR would be fitting to have for FS.

Wow. Such an evolution in fidelity.
Don't get me wrong in some scenes and regards X was friggin looking good and especially for the time it was a great hit. As part of the alpha now I can say this game has made huge strides in not just beauty and immersion, but in performance as well.
Man I'm going to need to bite the proverbial bullet and quite possibly buy some serious simulator hardware...
