Mavericks: Proving Grounds - Teaser Trailer

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 02/20/2018 09:38 AM | source: | 7 comment(s)

Automaton Games has shared a thing or two about its upcoming multiplayer shooter, Mavericks: Proving Grounds. The game is to become a next-gen multiplayer shooter which will feature a massive, tactical, and dynamic world. Automaton aims to release a battle-royale version of it in 2018 that will support up to 400 players. In the battle royale mode, players will duke it out in a 12 km squared world. This map will be filled with reactive wildlife and there will be dynamic weather.

So far I can say it's ambitious but will it be new top gear or Grand tour ;) Too little info to be sure , but sounds like fun. Also last word should be "dynamic weather" not "water" I think.

"Release date in 2018....". ( shows one man running through a forest for tech demo) How's this even possible for that to happen. Sure hope the game is more than three quarters done at this tims...

He really hard pressed if this was a crowd funded project to put up any money for their efforts so far as the trailer truly showed nothing of what the article talked of. 12km sq. map and four hundred people against one another.

Looks awesome, but another multiplayer crap.

Ah so now it went from MOBA games, to class base games, now to battleground type games...

Meh, only game I have been playing MP wise that's more recent is Rust.
