Kingston Adds 7.68TB High Volume Model to Data Center SATA3.0 SSD

Kingston's data center 2.5-inch SATA3.0 (6Gbps) SSD "DC500R" and "DC450R" now have a 7.68TB high-capacity model.

The specifications of "DC500R" (top image) are: sequential reading 545MB/sec, writing 490MB/sec, random reading 99,000 IOPS, writing 25,000 IOPS, latency less than 500μs reading, less than 2ms writing. NAND flash is 3D TLC, write endurance is 9,345TBW (0.6DWPD), MTBF is 2 million hours, product warranty is 5 years.

DC450R
The specifications of "DC450R" are sequential read 560MB/sec, write 504MB/sec, random read 99,000 IOPS, write 19,000 IOPS, latency less than 500μs read, less than 2ms write. NAND flash is 3D TLC, write endurance is 5,063TBW (0.3DWPD), MTBF is 2 million hours, product warranty is 5 years.

The 7.68TB model has also been added to the NVMe SSD "DC1000M" that supports the U.2 form factor. Shipment to the global market is scheduled to begin in June. Prices are TBA.
