Gigabyte Radeon RX 6600 Eagle spotted - has 8GB VRAM

On July 29, AMD unveiled the RX 6600 XT, although there was no mention of the non-XT variant of the card. We shouldn't have to wait too long for the latest edition to the RX 6000 series, Videocardz spotted renders from a card with 8 Gigabyte of memory.

So yeah, the RX 6600 Eagle graphics cardhas 8 GB of video memory. Despite the fact that it is strikingly similar to the XT model, there are several differences: the RX 6600's printed circuit board (PCB) is shorter, and the heatsink is different from the XT's. It is also fitted with an 8-pin power plug, just like its larger brother and sister.

The RX 6600 is believed to make use of a Navi 23 GPU that has been partially deactivated. There are 2,048 stream processors in the RX 6600 XT, although the non-XT should be able to manage with 1,792 cores. Rumors indicate RX 6600 will be released around the end of September or the beginning of October.

Wonder if it'll take the mining crown from it's big brother, it could be even more efficient if only by a degree.
