I like this. It'd be great if AIB partners would put more effort into blower-type coolers. Open designs are excellent for GPU cooling, but dumping tons of hot air into the case tends to interfere with CPU cooling.
I have a GTX 980 Ti with an Evga ACX cooler, and using an AIO cooler with the radiator mounted in the front dropped CPU temperatures by more than 20 C.

I can only say that there must be something seriously wrong with the airflow if it makes 20c difference.
I started with two reference Titan X cards in SLI, and so with blower style coolers. Later i replaced the reference cooler on both cards with Arctic Accelero Xtreme III coolers. GPU temperatures went down more then 20c and do you know what it did with the CPU temperature... absolutely 0.0 nothing, no increase nor decrease in CPU temperatures whatsoever.
Airflow is key with top-down coolers.

The core clocks are not that good.
