That's a very nice kit in there, useless as only it can be but very top of the top.. and probably will cost more than it weigh in real gold.

Over 4200mhz on x299 is VERY hard. The limit for x299 is around 4200mhz on "normal" cooling. 4000 mhz seems to be the sweetspot on my x299 Apex. 4000 c16 tweaked is ~120GB/s memory read in Aida.

Wonder how many people getting 4266 mhz to work without tweaking and only use XMP. Maybe only Apex users?

I have to ask a question to you, there is a use case in which you take advantage of the big memory bandwidth you get after pushig your memory spid till 4.2Ghz? i guess it must be! but would love to know about it.

The mobo is not worthy...Asus better design a matching style...full silver or gold cover with some gemstones, instead of capacitors.

You will also need a silicon lottery jackpot CPU to unleash this....

@gydj
actually, you need 3 part combo for this to work properly. CPU and its IMC, motherboard batch/silicon loterry jackpot too, and, well, some cooling for ram. Especially as in case here, WC should be used.
And OFC luck with testing while tightening timings to get more :P
