Forza Horizon 5's final system requirements for PC have been announced.

The updated Forza Horizon 5 system requirements for the PC version of the game are available on the official website of the game's developer, Playground Games.

The minimum and recommended system requirements for Forza Horizon 5 are still quite close to one another, and certain high-end consumer hardware will provide the best possible performance for the game. Game will be released on November 9 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 4.

With Forza Horizon 5, you can enjoy a 21:9 aspect ratio and haptic feedback for the Xbox Wireless Controller when playing on either an Xbox console or a PC running the game through Steam. Horizon 5 also introduces ray tracing for the first time in the Horizon series, albeit the advanced lighting style is only available in Forzavista mode for the time being. While stationary, gamers can get a close look at the cars in this section. The game also includes support for a variety of racing wheels, including the following:

  • Logitech: Driving Force, G25, G27, G29, G920, G923PS, G923XB, Momo
  • Thrustmaster: Ferrari 458, T150 RS, T300 RS, T500 RS, TMX, T-GT, TS-XW, TX, TS-PC
  • Fanatec: V1, V2, V2.5, CSL, CSL DD, DD1, DD2, Universal HUB device

This seems widly varied. They "recommend" a GTX 1070 but ideally suggest an RTX 3080? That's a huge gap. The 3080 is about 2.5x faster than a 1070!

1070 is recommended for 1080p and 3080 is for 4k.

so would min be 1080p at 30 fps, rec be 1080p at 60 fps and ideal be 4k at 60 fps? Recommended should really be for 1440p.

Nope, 1070 is way too low for 1440p requirements.
There's minimum specs (~720p), recommended specs (~1080p) and ideal specs (demanding 1440p - 4K gameplay)

I guess his point was that recommended SHOULD be 1440 instead of 1080 which is so damn ancient resolution in PC gaming already. Minimum requirements should be for 1080 because nobody has less than that anymore.
