Apparently Nvidia's godrays are having a significant effect on performance despite no visual difference.

https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/3s5r4d/is-nvidia-sabotaging-performance-for-no-visual/

I'm kinda curious to see if the tessellation bit these guys are talking about is true. Would it be possible to retest the Fury X with the manual tessellation slider set lower?

Nvidia needs to get it's **** together. Even if it did make a visual difference, God Rays shouldn't effect performance by 30%..

God Rays did the same thing to FC4, its an insane resource hog. All those cards benchmarked will improve performance by quite a bit with the option lowered/disabled.

Besides all this, AMD need new drivers. Hopefuly soon...

All the cards will benefit but AMD's cards will benefit more because their tessellation performance is worse. It should even the playing field a bit and considering the option literally has zero noticeable effect on visual quality (from what I can see) it almost feels like it was done intentionally. They should have just called it "30% framerate limiter"

Gameworks is garbage and it just needs to go away.

Looks like AMD are having a hard time competing with Nvidia's GPUs.

it's been for long time like that, ever since maxwell.

Game seems to run well, remember guys u don't need to max out everything even you can, all games have useless options that are meant for E-Pen to show up.
