EIZO FlexScan EV2736W-Z 27-Inch LCD Monitor Has Automatic Dimming

EIZO releases another one of its upcoming LCD monitor, the FlexScan EV2736W-Z. Adopting the automatic dimming function for adjusting the brightness to reduce eye fatigue, this new 27-inch IPS LED-backlight monitor provides 2560 x 1440 WQHD resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 6ms response time and 178/178 degree viewing angles.

In addition, it also comes with two built-in 1W stereo speakers and has DVI-D, DisplayPort and 3-port USB 2.0 hub (1x up, 2x down). The FlexScan EV2736W-Z will begin shipping from June 20th for 87,778 Yen (about $862).

Isn't the dimming feature something they used for ages now? My old S2231W had it aswell... When the area you're in gets darker, the screen gets less bright.

My current CX240 has the same feature.it's called "Auto EcoView" today.

I dont think Eizo want sell it as a gaming monitor anyway.


No point for him getting a 120/144 Hz Monitor at 1440P anyways, since 660 in SLI wont be able to reach 120/144 FPS at that resolution.

(not at high/ultra settings atleast)
