EA hints that Battlefield 6 is scheduled for 2021

Though not really a surprise, as it has been mentioned a couple of times. Developer house DICE revealed last week that it is working on the latest content update for Battlefield 5. So next would logically be revision 6 of the game series.

Developer house DICE mentioned last week that it is working on the latest content update for Battlefield 5, and said this past Tuesday that its "vision for Star Wars Battlefront II is already complete " with the release of an update this week, called The Battle on Scarif. Finishing work on those two games means the studio will now focus on the next installment in the Battlefield saga.

EA Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen said in October 2019 that the Battlefield 6 release date would take place during EA's 2022 fiscal year, which will begin in April 2021 and last until March 2022. This is a launch window that was reiterated by the company during its January quarterly earnings call. However, such a launch window now appears to last from April through December 2021 , according to an EA statement made Tuesday.

"In the long term, the studio will be focused on the future of Battlefield, which we will bring players into in 2021. ". With all this, EA seems to suggest that the next Battlefield will be out next year. Released in November 2018, Battlefield V was the second consecutive series entry to focus on the World Wars of the early 20th century. Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 both focused on modern day military combat.

We will keep you informed.

Battlefield 5 will remain the Battlefield game that had the poorest support over time of the entire franchise. I noticed this trend of EA/DICE since the modern Battlefront 1 game, they dropped the ball within 6 months to focus on the sequel and i still haven't digested the premium pack i picked for this soon to be dead game back then.

Hopefully Battlefront 2 had the quality support it deserved, but it won't erase the trust issue i have with EA/DICE since Battlefront 2015.

BF5 had some good ideas from 3D spotting removal, cleaner weapon feedback with less randomization in recoil animation and bullet spread, but going WWII just after WWI was a boring safe choice for everyone.
The Pacific front update will remain the highlight of BF5 support over time, and a glimpse into an alternate and more satisfying handling of the franchise, at a quality we expect from AAA studios.

BF5 was a sham. No naval combat, no soviet front - you know, where the majority of action took place, forceful inclusion of female characters to make SJWs happy, and the list goes on...

Somehow they managed to be at the point that even Dice fans will not be getting the game. Good job!
