EA and DICE confirmed that Battlefield 2042 will be delayed by four weeks to November 19

Battlefield 2042 will be released four weeks later than originally planned. The game has been rescheduled to take place on November 19. According to a tweet from DICE, the delay is primarily due to the fact that the company is working from home owing to the corona pandemic.

Given the scope of the project, we had assumed that our staff would be back in our studios as we neared the launch date. Because the conditions do not allow us to do so safely, and because of all the hard work the teams are putting in from their own homes, we believe it is necessary to take the additional time necessary to make the Battlefield 2042 vision a reality for our players.”

In addition, the studio has stated that it will reveal more information about the upcoming Battlefield 2042 open beta later this month, which is scheduled to take place throughout the month of September. Earlier reports said that the test version of the game would be made accessible on September 22, however, this has not been confirmed as of this writing.

Battlefield 2042 was unveiled by Electronic Arts earlier this year. The game, which takes place in the future, is a multiplayer-only experience that supports up to 128 concurrent players on next-generation consoles and PC. The game was originally set to be released on October 22nd, however, the release date has been pushed back by four weeks to November 2nd.

The game isnt even released yet and its only disapointment for me, no br delayed release... It womt be more polished with a one month delay, it wont be better, ea had over than two years since last bf... Sad bf is dead most likely, every one will be back on warzone by december

We don't know what kind of bugs have been discovered during the beta. There might be critical ones that need to be fixed, 1 month might be enough to get the job done.
2 years is not a huge amount of time to develop a game. Battle Royal is something that historically doesn't belong to the series, so I don't think many will expect or miss it.

well im not a huge fan of battle field, i only played the last two one but i really did enjoy the gun play of both games. For me its a big disapointment that there is no BR in 2021 from a major title like battlefield, it is a very popular mode, and people that dont want to play it have plenty of other option to have fun with. We will have to wait and see what hazard zone is. But so far i cant say im really hyped about the game, im not hyped at all with the turnover of world war 2 for warzone either i have to say. so battlefield might still have some life left

After that infamous alpha and no gameplay at gamescon all flags were up for a bad launch. The fact that they had to brag some months ago that "they're ahead of schedule" is even more hilarious now...
