Anyone notice the focus on women in games now?
GW5
Wolfenstien Young Blood
BF V
etc
I don't have any issues with women in games but it seems to be forced at you.
I don't understand this.
It doesn't matter either way but it should make sense in a game IMO. But it does come off, to me, disconnected or more of a knee jerk kind of thing.

I don't understand this.
I agree it's difficult to accept it when it's forced in any kind of game genders and situations but there is an easy explanation:

This political correctness bulshit never ends and got worse lately.
The same principle applies when some ppl wants to force black characters in impossible situations like Kingdom Come: Deliverance:
LOL

People are getting extremely upset because there are no black people in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. How accurate is this for 16th century Bohemia?
And now we finally found the reason why there are so few women on the computer industry:
Melinda Gates says the early rise of 'male-focused' computer games is a big reason there are fewer female computer science graduates today than in the 80s and 90s

I have no issue with female protagonists in games, there's plenty of great games with female leads, I mean most recently we had Senuas Sacrifice which I thought was outstanding but yeah politics and video games is a bad mix IMO, if the games good it's good regardless of gender,
honestly though most of these E3 presentations have been a bit dissapointing , it's like half these games haven't even started development, out of all the games posted here there's only four games I can see with any in game footage GOW 5, Metro Exodus, Dying Light 2, and Battlefield, the rest are all prebaked fmv sequences although Cyberpunk does look great but yeah some of these presentations seem a bit lazy, I mean the Elderscrolls video is just a flyby over a bit of terrain, and I don't even know what to make of Starfield, nothing much to see at all.

Well add Assassin's Creed Odyssey to the list. I've never seen, nor read that Spartan women were "Freelancing Warriors". Here is a quick blurb.

^^^This can apply to any game with a political agenda attached to it.
