E3 2017: Skull and Bones - Pirate Game Goes Multiplayer

During the Ubisoft’s E3 2017 press conference, the publisher announced Skull and Bones, it’s an open world multiplayer pirates game. It’s in development at Ubisoft Singapore, and it will be released in the fall of 2018.

In this open-world multiplayer game, you play as a pirate whose business involves gathering loot as you try to become the scourge of the seas. Read on for everything you need to know about Skull and Bones.

The game is being made by Ubisoft Singapore, the same development team that handled the ship combat in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. It takes place on the Indian Ocean in 1721. SKULL AND BONES is an online naval game that will take players across a dynamic, shared open-ocean that reacts to their actions and evolves to continuously challenge them. Building upon the studio’s naval gameplay expertise, SKULL & BONES introduces an innovative wind system that gives gamers tactical opportunities to navigate more quickly, shoot further, hit harder, escape deadly blows, and position themselves to decimate their victims.

Gamers will also be able to build their own fleet of ships, which can specialize in different battle conditions using the game’s extensive customization options.” Sail the high seas of Skull and Bones, an online naval open world game set during the Golden Age of Piracy in the exotic and untamed frontier of the Indian Ocean.

Excited to see the Dutch Prinsenvlag featured prominently here. Less excited that its crew speaks modern English rather that old Hollandic.

I mostly liked the naval combat system on AC:Black Flag and as it seems goes the same + , we 'll see..but I don't think that they will downgrade stuff on release, hoping..

So they finally went and listen to what people really want. Black Flags pirating was so much fun. I replay that game just for that aspect.

Black Flags was one of my favorite AC games, and it wasn't even for the AC part. :D

So I'm really excited about this, but pissed if it's multiplayer only. They have a great gameplay platform to build on, but with way better graphics. So yeah... I'll keep an eye out for this for sure!

If they have a solo mode, or co-op, I will be very interested.
