AMD released a Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition hotfix driver, it is specifically intended for Radeon RX Vega and fixes an intermittent crash issue may be experienced on some Radeon RX Vega series graphics products.

Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.11.3 Radeon RX Vega Hotfix Highlights

Fixed Issues

    • An intermittent crash issue may be experienced on some Radeon RX Vega series graphics products.

Known Issues

    • Some desktop productivity apps may experience latency when dragging or moving windows.
    • Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® Siege may experience an application hang when breaching walls with grenades or explosives.
    • Rise of the Tomb Raider™ may experience an intermittent application hang during gameplay.
    • A random system hang may be experienced after extended periods of use on system configurations using 12 GPU's for compute workloads.
    • The GPU Workload feature may cause a system hang when switching to Compute while AMD CrossFire is enabled. A workaround is to disable AMD CrossFire before switching the toggle to Compute workloads.
    • Resizing the Radeon Settings window may cause the user interface to stutter or exhibit corruption temporarily.
    • Unstable Radeon WattMan profiles may not be restored to default after a system hang.
    • OverWatch™ may experience a random or intermittent hang on some system configurations. Disabling Radeon ReLive as a temporary workaround may resolve the issue.

Bad oh bad it's so bad. That means no new drivers anytime soon only a stability fix for Vega over current drivers. It translates like they believe 17.10 and 17.11 are stable and good on their own. Now we are gonna wait for 17.12 whql. Goodbye November..........................****

Ah it resolves some GPU driver crash? Interesting, and some known issues too.

Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.11.3 Radeon RX Vega Hotfix Highlights

Fixed Issues

An intermittent crash issue may be experienced on some Radeon RX Vega series graphics products.

Known Issues

Some desktop productivity apps may experience latency when dragging or moving windows.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® Siege may experience an application hang when breaching walls with grenades or explosives.
Rise of the Tomb Raider™ may experience an intermittent application hang during gameplay.
A random system hang may be experienced after extended periods of use on system configurations using 12 GPU's for compute workloads.
The GPU Workload feature may cause a system hang when switching to Compute while AMD CrossFire is enabled. A workaround is to disable AMD CrossFire before switching the toggle to Compute workloads.
Resizing the Radeon Settings window may cause the user interface to stutter or exhibit corruption temporarily.
Unstable Radeon WattMan profiles may not be restored to default after a system hang.
OverWatch™ may experience a random or intermittent hang on some system configurations. Disabling Radeon ReLive as a temporary workaround may resolve the issue

EDIT:
Oh so these two from 17.11.2's known issues are gone, so that's what was fixed then?

Radeon RX Vega Series graphics products may experience a system hang on installation in Multi GPU system configurations. A workaround is to do clean install only for Multi GPU enabled systems.

Radeon RX Vega series graphics products may intermittently experience stability issues while enabling/disabling HBCC.

EDIT: November 24th? Wasn't 17.11.2 November 16th? That's interesting.

EDIT: And 17.11.3(HF for Vega.) is also November 24th it would appear from the file name.

Time to do some comparisons I suppose.

EDIT: 17.11.2 November 16th against 17.11.2 November 24th.

1711152041-17.40.2511-171115a-320421E-CrimsonReLive

1711241117-17.40.2511-171115a-320918E-CrimsonReLive

So the date (15th and then 24th) and then the last build version number which seem to correspond to the INF file.

C0320421

C0320918

And the catalogue (CAT) file differs since this is a newer distribution.

And then...well support for the R7500 is stripped out, that's AMD Vega.

They really must want people to use the 17.11.3 hotfix drivers, well that explains what was changed, must be considered a important fix to do something like that. :)

EDIT: And yeah the small file size of the INF alone tells enough, the 17.11.3 driver strips out anything non-Vega.

Also has a little bump to the driver version with this.

DriverVer=11/23/2017, 23.20.793.768

Compared to.

DriverVer=11/15/2017, 23.20.793.0

EDIT: Nothing much for the Atiapfxx.blb file in this.

17.11.2 (Either of them.)

17.11.3

Just a little adjustment to the date here, that's all.

got it right. This is not for non Vega video cards. Check for yourself by going to your specific non vega card and it will still read 17.11.2.

Radeon Product Compatibility
Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.11.3 Radeon RX Vega Hotfix is compatible with the following AMD Radeon products.

Note:
AMD Radeon R9 Fury, Radeon Pro Duo and Radeon RX 400 Series are only supported by Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition on Windows 7/10 64-bit.
AMD Radeon RX 500 Series graphics are only supported by Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition on Windows 7/10 64-bit.

Dat fine print!
Looks like moving forward they are only supporting 64Bit WIN 7/10 on non vega cards. Make sure you update your OS if you are still using win 7/10 32bit.

It only takes you a 8GB USB a quick download from MS and 10-20 minutes of your time. I think 32bit win10 is interchangeable for 64bit (research is required).

"An intermittent crash issue may be experienced on some Radeon RX Vega series graphics products". Bit vague.

I have noticed that having Enhanced Vsync causes crashes on some games, notably DiRT Rally where it will run for an indeterminate period then just crash to desktop - does seem to happen more frequently in night time stages, for some reason.

So, I've just tried a few courses on dirt rally with NO crash with enhanced sync enabled.

In Hard Reset (the game lol) setting Vsync mode on when enhanced Sync is enabled does cause a BSOD after a few seconds, but no crash on Hard Reset or DiRT Rally with Enhanced Sync on this driver!

Too early to tell for sure, but it's promising...
