Doritos chips packaging confirms next COD will be called Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Okay weird, but yes that is not a typo. the next Call of Duty Installment would be called 'Cold War', this is labeled on the packaging of Doritos.

An advertisement for Doritos verified that the new COD 2020 will be called Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, a name that we had already heard in the past and that we believed was dropped when the name Black Ops CIA came to light. However, "CIA" eventually ended up referencing Closed Internal Alpha despite having the logo of the United States Central Intelligence Agency in the background, and the new game will be called Black Ops Cold War.

These advertisements can not be spotted everywhere just yet, they is being distributed to stores to be placed in a few days, and reveal a promotion that will allow you to get double XP in the game with the purchase of a pack of Doritos. The promotion will start on October 5, 2020, so the game will surely come close to that date. An announcement is expected soon.

Each user can redeem up to 160 points, we here at guru3d do not think it is healthy to eat 160 packages of Doritos though :)

The Cold War is a really good choice on so many levels. Looking forward to this; there's a lot of potential with that time setting.

So, basically from the end of WW2 to the early 1990s. If they don't mess it up, they could ride that horse for a long time.

Cold war is one the best looking and least milked periods. I prefer Soviets look'n'feel, but US/NATO had its share of great looking arms and rugged machines too.

I thought black ops was rotated every 3 years? Did one of the studios stop making COD? I actually like BO4 a lot and still play it, that same out 2018.

Soviets look'n'feel,

Definitely; there is so much great mid to late 80s and early 90s weapons tech they can pull from not just with small arms but it was the beginning of what we use today in its initial stages & the mood of the era will help contribute to a good campaign if they choose to pursue something thriller-spy/espionage-related with some action-adventure elements. Submarines, Nuclear arms race, Carrier launched fighter jet aircraft ... a great selection of land-based vehicles. CIA, KGB, the Space program in its later years & the war in Afghanistan.
