Dell To release IPS based P2417H and P2717H monitors

Dell To release IPS based P2417H and P2717H monitors

The Dell P2417H and P2717H are sporting some aesthetic refinements and updated panels. They still focus on the practical home-office look over anything too eye-catching, but the bezels are thinner at the top and sides this time around. These are comprised of one single hard bezel component rather than a super-slim outer bezel and a panel border.

The monitors use 60Hz IPS-type panels with diagonal screen dimensions of 23.8” (P24)/27” (P27) and a 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) resolution reports pcmonitors:

A matte screen surface is employed, likely of the ‘relatively light’ variety similar to competing Full HD models. As is usual for a panel of this type, strong colour consistency is expected and good viewing angle performance – 178°/178° horizontal/vertical is specified. The usual 6-bit per subpixel + FRC (dithering) is employed and a WLED backlight is used with a specified 72% CIE 1931 colour space (~sRGB). An 8ms grey to grey response time is specified for the smaller model and 6ms for the larger model. 2 USB 3.0 ports feature at the left side, with 2 USB 2.0 ports at the rear. Other ports at the read include; DP 1.2, HDMI 1.4 and VGA. An AC power input features (internal power converter). The included stand attaches using a quick-release bracket mechanism and can be removed to reveal 100 x 100mm VESA holes.

Information on the P24 and P27 can be found on Dell’s website. There are also a number of other models of various sizes, including the P2017 (19.5”), P2217H (21.5”) and P2317H (23”). These models are available or shortly due for release globally.
