Dell S2722QC 27-inch IPS 4K monitor with USB-C

Dell S2722QC 27-inch IPS 4K monitor with USB-C

This Dell S2722QC has a simple design that is expected from the company's S series. In addition, the stand neck and base top are covered with a satin-finish silver plastic covering to give them a more polished appearance.

The '4K' UHD resolution on the 27-inch display provides tremendous flexibility for both work and play. And a matte black plastic bottom bezel with a silver-colored business emblem that stands out against the matte black background. The top and side bezels are two-stage, and the panel border is flush with the rest of the screen, resulting in a sleek appearance. In addition, there is a thin hard plastic outer component. The on-screen display (OSD) is controlled by buttons located on the underside of the bottom bezel, on the right side of the device. An accompanying power button with the signature'vertical slit' white power LED can also be seen on this side of the case.

The display is a 27-inch '4K' UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS-type panel with a matte anti-glare screen surface and a refresh rate of 60 frames per second. Adaptive-Sync is also supported, including AMD FreeSync, which has a VRR range of 40 to 60 frames per second. Other noteworthy characteristics include a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, viewing angles of 178° and 178°, and a 10-bit (8-bit + FRC) color output. A flicker-free WLED backlight produces a typical maximum brightness of 350 cd/m2 and a color range of 99 percent sRGB in a compact package. Low Blue Light (LBL) settings such as 'ComfortView' are included to help you relax while you're watching television. The monitor is capable of responding to HDR10 content and displaying 10-bit color processing. Due to the fact that it falls short of even the most basic VESA DisplayHDR standard, this is a very basic HDR experience that does not require exceptionally high brightness, local dimming, or a large color gamut.

Although a 4ms grey to grey response time is mentioned, it is not recommended that you place too much emphasis on this figure. In addition to the provided stand, which is attached centrally through a quick-release mechanism, the stand can be removed to reveal 100 x 100mm VESA holes for other mounting options. The stand has full flexibility, including height (110mm, or 4.33 inches), as well as pivoting into a landscape position. The ports are located on the bottom of the device and include an AC power port (with an internal power converter), two HDMI 2.0 connectors, a USB-C port (with 65W power delivery, DP Alt Mode, and upstream data), a 3.5mm audio output, and a USB 3.2 Gen1 port. When viewed from the front, a second USB 3.2 Gen1 port with 'power charging' can be located near the bottom of the screen, outside of the main port area for ease of access - to the left side when viewed from the back. There are two 3W down-firing speakers incorporated, as well as support for two-source PiP and PbP audio.

Detailed product information is available on the manufacturer's website. The monitor is spotted on eBay for approximately $380 USD.
