Core i5 760 planned for Q3 2010
Rumors surface that there will be a faster LGA 1156 based Core i5 out in Q3. The core i5 series is the entry level Core quad-core processors series from Intel on socket 1156.
- Four x86 processing cores with support for HyperThreading technology
- Dual-channel DDR3 memory controller specified to run DDR3-1066 and DDR3-1333 modules
- Support for TurboBoost technology.
- 32 KB instruction + 32 KB data L1 cache per core
- 256 KB L2 cache per core
- Large 8 MB L3 cache shared by all 4 cores
The processor would be clocked at 2.8GHz and comes with the usual 8MB of cache, four threads and four cores. The TDP is similar to its sibling at 95W. This processor would only be a small step faster than the i5 750 which is clocked at 2.66 GHz.
