Colorful SL500 480G(MLC) SATA 6.0 Gbps SSD

Colorful released its SL500 480G SATA 6.0 Gbps SSD, the unit is using MLC NAND from Micron and was paired up with a Silicon Motion SM2258XT controller.

Coming in just a 480GB capacity this 2.5-inch SSD (7mm thick) is built with Intel 3D MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a Silicon Motion SM2258XT controller, SMART support, TRIM support, DEVSLEEP support, NCQ support and an MTBF of 1.5 million hours. The SL500 480G(MLC) offers sequential read and write speeds of up to 500MB/s and 480MB/s / random read and write speeds (IOPS 4KB) of up to 75,000 IOPS and 75,000 IOPS, respectively.

Backed by a 3-year warranty, the Colorful SL500 480G(MLC) is available now for 15,980 Yen (about $142).

My first thought, but £108 for a 480gb sata3 ssd isnt too bad really
