CoD: Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta Specs

Treyarch outlines system specifications for the PC beta for the Blackout mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the upcoming shooter sequel. They note these are essentially the same as they were for the multiplayer beta.

Testing is scheduled to begin on Friday for preorder customers and Saturday for everyone else. Here are the requirements:

Minimum:

  •     OS: Windows 7 64-Bit or later
  •     CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k or AMD equivalent
  •     RAM: 8GB RAM
  •     HDD: 41GB HD space
  •     Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2 GB / GTX 1050 2GB or AMD Radeon HD 7950
  •     DirectX: Version 11.0 compatible video card or equivalent
  •     Network: Broadband Internet connection
  •     Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

Recommended:

  •     OS: Windows 10 64 Bit
  •     CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k or AMD equivalent
  •     RAM: 12GB RAM
  •     HDD: 41GB HD space
  •     Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 / GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon R9 390 / AMD RX 580
  •     DirectX: Version 11.0 compatible video card or equivalent
  •     Network: Broadband Internet connection
  •     Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

....most games recommended graphics (from nvidia) is the GTX 1060 6gb

seems to be the honest one (price vs performance) including physX for High settings for modern games .

I do wish devs were allowed to spend much more time optimising core timings /and asset maximisation for the PC rather than the obvious halt in optimisation once the console branch is ticked off. I'm wondering if we'll ever reach another significant crysis point? I'm sure NVIDIA, AMD, INTEL ect would benefit from the boost they'd see. Of course, RT should have been/be a nice driver, if it wasn't for NVIDIA dropping a few balls on timing, cost etc etc.
