Buffalo Adds 866Mbps Wireless LAN Repeater WEX-1166DHP
Buffalo will soon offer a wireless LAN repeater under SKu code WEX-1166DHP. The repeater extends the radio range of the wireless LAN into out-of-reach areas of your home, the WEX-1166DHP comes with two moveable antennas, a WPS button and one wired LAN port, and supports for dual-band WiFi access point (2.4GHz – 300Mbps and 5GHz – 866Mbps).
Corresponding to the ‘Draft 11ac’ (the new standard for Wireless LAN IEEE802.11ac), the WEX-1166DHP provides security through encryption using WPA2-PSK (AES), WPA-PSK (AES), WPA/WPA2 mixed PSK (AES/TKIP) and WEP (128/64bit).
Measuring W160mm x D28mm x H80mm and weighing 253 grams, the Buffalo WEX-1166DHP will start shipping from late March for about $79.
