BenQ Refreshes ZOWIE XL2546 to XL2546S: 240 Hz and DyAc+

The BenQ ZOWIE series XL2546 is nothing new however they revised the model and added an S to the SKU name, XL2546S. The difference seems to be DyAc+

The LCD display has been optimized for FPS gaming with "Dynamic Accuracy Plus" (DyAc +), a function that can reduce motion blur caused by intense action even in a high refresh rate environment. The refresh rate is up to 240Hz, as such the combination with a high-performance PC and GPU is essential. Adaptive-Sync is supported, including AMD FreeSync with a 48 – 240Hz variable refresh rate range (plus LFC), when the DyAc+feature is disabled though. The new S revisions would get a further refined response time of 0.5ms

In addition, "Black eQualizer" can quickly recognize enemies in dark places, "Color Vibrance" that improves the ease of finding enemies by adjusting the vividness of colors, and the optimum display according to the game just by pressing a hot key It has features for gamers such as "Game Mode" that allows you to play games and "Eye Shield" that allows you to concentrate on the game without worrying about your surroundings.

The TN panel is 24.5: with a resolution of 1,920x1,080 pixels, the brightness is 320 cd/㎡, and the contrast ratio is 1,000: 1 (DCR 12 million: 1). The interface is HDMIx2, DualLink DVIx1, DisplayPort1.2x1, Mic jack x1, Headphone jack x1, USB3.0x3 (Downx2 / UPx1).

The stand supports -5 to 20 ° tilt, -45 to 45 ° swivel, 90 ° pivot and 140mm height adjustment. The main body size is width 569.94 mm, depth 226.04 mm, height 445.75-515.43 mm, weight approximately 7.2 kg. A May to June 2020 release is being targetted for a close to the current ‘non-S’ model (~$500 USD or £420).

BenQ Refreshes ZOWIE XL2546 to XL2546S: 240 Hz and DyAc+

there are 2 big differences with this XL2546 S model vs the previous non-S XL2546 model which I can't see being mentioned in the news post, the new and updated monitor has the newer generation "0.5ms" response time 240 hz TN panel from AU Optronics vs the older generation 1ms 240 hz panel, also from AU Optronics, as well as having Freesync Premium compatibility when its blur reduction (DyAc+) feature is disabled , something the older XL2546 does not support. The older XL2546 has DyAc but no Freesync.

Benqs blur reduction tech called "DyAc" is also further refined and improved on this model so it now has the name "DyAc+".

XL2746S is the 27" version of this panel and is already available for purchase, I expect the XL2546S to be available for purchase in the near future !
