Battlefield 1 Open Beta This Month (video)
Electronic Arts shares word that the Battlefield 1 open beta kicks off on August 31st. The news is accompanied by the Battlefield 1 Official Gamescom trailer with gameplay footage from the World War I shooter.
Finally, there's this new article with an outline of the game's three Elite Classes, the Flame Trooper, the Sentry, and the Tank Hunter.
They confirm last week's report that Battlefield Insiders will get first crack at this: "Battlefield Insider members get early access, and if you sign up by August 21, you can join them as some of the first people in the world to play the Battlefield 1 Open Beta. If you've already signed up, make sure you go to the Battlefield Insider Page and select your platform preference, otherwise you won’t get a code to play early."
Watch classic Battlefield gameplay and see how thrilling horse charges, battle tanks and armored trains are at the dawn of all-out war. It’s war on an epic scale, Only in Battlefield 1. Battlefield 1 will be available from Oct 21st 2016 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

I think it is clear to say I will wait for a good few reviews to come out first before I buy this. For my last few experiences wit BF4 and Hardline, I'm not willing to go through the same crap again. Those 2 Editions took a good 3 - 6 months to be a actual enjoyable experience. By that time I was so over it I didn't even bother playing anymore.
But it does look good. I hope it will be without server crash issues at least.

omg... that trailer... I have to say, it looks like 'I want to play!' stuff... what games have become these days, looks almost like a rendered movie (I'm pretty sure they downsampled for the trailer, but still...)
