ASUS ROG STRIX X670-E motherboard to support 192GB memory

ASUS ROG STRIX X670-E motherboard to support 192GB memory

A screenshot posted by Raja shows the ASUS ROG STRIX X670-E motherboard running 192 GB of DDR5 memory, which includes four 48 GB Corsair modules running at 2600 MHz (5200 MT/s).

The post also includes CPU-Z and task manager screenshots, confirming successful booting into Windows. This is a significant development, as earlier reports suggested that AMD motherboards could not boot into Windows with non-binary memory modules and kits, although they successfully recognized them. The memory capacity is higher than 32GB but lower than 64GB, and it is exciting to note that the system was equipped with four 48GB memory modules, offering a total capacity of 192GB. This is a non-standard capacity that includes 24GB, 48GB or 96GB, and it is fascinating to see this capability being supported by the ASUS ROG STRIX X670-E motherboard.

It is worth noting that there have been rumors that AMD is working on an AGESA update that will fix the issue of non-binary memory modules and kits, and it looks like it could be coming sooner than expected. With the support for non-binary memory coming to the X670E platform, it is a peek into the future of computing, where higher-capacity memory modules and kits become the norm.
