ASUS ROG Strix and All-New X99 Signature Motherboards

ASUS and Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced ASUS Signature X99-Deluxe II, X99-A II and X99-E, and ROG Strix X99 Gaming from the latest lineup of ROG Strix series - all-new four ATX motherboards based on the Intel X99 chipset and loaded with exclusive technologies to maximize the potential of the latest LGA 2011-3 Intel Core i7 X-series processors.

Commenting on the new product line-up, Joe Hsieh, ASUS Corporate Vice President & General Manager of Motherboard Business Unit said: "Our X99 motherboards have won awards from many respected publications and editors around the world, with ASUS consistently praised as the number-one motherboard brand. We are keen to offer best-selling, easy-to-use, stable and trusted motherboards - that's why we call them BEST. And we're proud to introduce our all-new X99 motherboards allowing users to customize their experience and maximize performance in ways that simply aren't possible with any other brand of motherboard."

Pushing boundaries: Advancing award-winning heritage for maximum performance and style

The best-selling and award-winning ASUS X99 Signature motherboard range returns to push the boundaries of PC hardware beyond the accepted limits, while adding many new features and technologies to elevate both performance and aesthetics - enabling PC-builders to create custom rigs on the finest foundations.

The new X99 Signature motherboards features include the pioneering OC Socket to drive CPU and DDR4 performance beyond all expectations, and exclusive 5-Way Optimization for one-click overclocking and cooling. With the newly upgraded Fan Xpert 4, X99 Signature motherboards elevates customized cooling to new heights, with the ability to detect PWM/DC fans on all headers, use high-amperage fans and control water-cooling pumps in both software and the media-acclaimed ASUS UEFI BIOS.

The new boards also feature ASUS Aura, with onboard RGB lighting and a 4-pin LED-strip header to create stunning illumination effects - all easily synced with an ever-growing portfolio of Aura-capable ASUS hardware.

The latest-generation X99 Signature motherboards are engineered with ASUS SafeSlot. This reinvented, strengthened PCIe slot uses a new insert-molding process to bind the slot to fortifying metal for superior 1.6X retention and 1.8X shearing resistance.

Next-generation connectivity is also a major theme of the refreshed X99 Signature series, with up to dual U.2 and M.2 slots to tap into 32Gbps of PCIe bandwidth, 3x3 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and USB 3.1 Type-A and reversible Type-C. X99-Deluxe II also includes ASUS ThunderboltEX 3, a quick-to-fit expansion card for blistering transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps.

ROG Strix X99 Gaming: Join the Republic, release your inner rebel
ROG Strix is the newest recruit into the Republic of Gamers - and ROG Strix X99 Gaming is the first ROG Strix motherboard. ROG Strix X99 Gaming delivers premier performance, innovation, and confident dynamism to release the gamer's inner rebel, with a bold design and bright, customizable colors that channels the spirit of fierce individualism.

ROG Strix X99 Gaming has great gaming aesthetics that enables passionate gamers to illuminate their builds with multicolor magnificence. Ten LED effects can be customized with ASUS Aura, the intuitive lighting control software for the built-in RGB LEDs and attached RGB strips via the integrated 4-pin RGB -strip header, allowing easy custom illumination that can be perfectly synchronized. Included decals allow gamers to color-match lighting effects with their case design and decoration.

ROG Strix X99 Gaming is made for gaming with SupremeFX, Sonic Radar II, Intel Ethernet, and GameFirst technologies. Shielded SupremeFX delivers flawless high-fidelity audio with a remarkable 115dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), so only the very best is heard on gaming headsets or speakers. Sonic Radar II displays a stealthy overlay that shows what opponents and teammates are up to on the battlefield, while tournament-level Intel Gigabit Ethernet has the serious double advantage of reducing CPU overhead and offering exceptionally high TCP and UDP throughput, significantly reducing the processor's workload to free up power for the game. The all-new GameFirst IV optimizes network traffic for faster, lag-free online gaming - helping gamers dominate with epic speed and agility.

To maximize performance, ROG Strix X99 Gaming also has 5-Way Optimization for one-click auto tuning, including Fan Xpert 4 for ultimate cooling and control, plus OC Socket for maxed-out DDR4 and processor performance.

Gamer's Guardian offers real-world protection for ROG Strix X99 builds, including the all-new ASUS SafeSlot and loads of brilliant defenses, highly-durable components and smart DIY features. ROG Strix X99 also delivers great data transfers, with onboard U.2, USB 3.1 Type-A and C, M.2, 2x2 Wi-Fi with MU-MIMO. Uniquely-intelligent RAMCache technology effectively caches an entire storage device to launch favorite games and apps at breakneck speeds.

Ultra-fast transfers: ThunderboltEX 3 add-on card drives blistering speeds of up to 40Gbps
The new ASUS Signature X99-Deluxe II, X99-A II, X99-E and ROG Strix X99 Gaming motherboards all support ThunderboltEX 3, an Intel-certified Thunderbolt 3 card that enables breathtaking bi-directional speeds up to 40Gbps - four-times faster than other PC data-transfer cables with twice the video bandwidth for the latest 60Hz 4K UHD displays. Thunderbolt 3 also supports daisy-chaining of up to six devices, and has a reversible Type-C connector for compatibility with the latest USB 3.1 Type-C devices. It also supports the USB Power Delivery specification for fast, high-power charging of up to 36W. ThunderboltEX 3 is included with X99-Deluxe II.

EZ DIY Kit: For hassle-free DIY experiences
ASUS encourages DIYers and cares deeply about giving them the very best experience when assembling their rigs. The EZ DIY Kit includes a 45-in-1 screwdriver with ergonomic, slip-resistant handles that is suitable for a wide range of fastenings. The kit also includes a retractable and pneumatic ASUS VGA holder that provides support for up to three heavy graphics cards to prevent slot damage and motherboard bending. The holder has a smooth finish and multiple height adjustments for easy installation. The EZ DIY Kit is available to purchase separately worldwide.

Awwwh, I miss the legend, The Rampage Black edition. I wish they kept the same PCIE spacing as the current rampage 5 extreme, makes it far easier to have 3 GPUs and a sound card/add on card, especially when it comes to watercooling. Tho good to see 3 way SLI will run at 16x each socket now.
