ASUS ROG MATRIX GTX 580 photo's

There are some massive leaks going on over at ASUS, as it seems not one of their products that are to be announced have found a way to the web. We already mentioned that ASUS was working on a new ASUS ROG MATRIX graphics card.

Well, it's all over the web already, but some photo's and information have surfaced. Below you can see the Republic of Gamers (ROG) MATRIX GTX 580 graphics card. The card is powered by a large 19-phase VRM that draws power from two 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors.

This beast is based on a triple slot cooling design (!) The card will come pr-overclocked (we may assume very high) and will allow to be voltage tweaked all the way. The card will come with 2 BIOSes, so should you mess one up ... you have a failsafe by pressing a button. Something interesting is on-the-fly fan RPM control, check the photo's for that.

From what we heard the clock frequencies of the card will be 816 MHz on the core, 1632 Mhz on the shader domain and 4008 MHz on memory. We are amazed by the fact that this card will not be a 3GB model, it packs 1536 MB of GDDR5 memory

Display connectivity includes two DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort. There's no word on the availability. We'll be sure to catch it on camera over at Computex next week for some more detailed photo's.
