ASUS Republic of Gamers Announces ROG Delta and ROG Delta Core Headsets

ASUS Republic of Gamers today announced ROG Delta and ROG Delta Core, a new series of gaming headsets tuned especially for first-person shooter (FPS) gaming. The headsets feature Sony-certified Hi-Res Audio and are designed to be incredibly lightweight and comfortable.

ROG Delta is the world's first gaming headset with the industry-leading, hi-fi-grade ESS ES9218 QUAD DAC™, which delivers impeccably clear and detailed sound to give serious gamers the edge they need to win. ROG Delta features a USB-C™ connector and comes with a USB-C to USB 2.0 adapter for gaming on PC, console or mobile devices without changing headsets. A one-of-a-kind, circular rainbow RGB lighting effect provides a stylish look that sets gamers apart on the battlefield. ROG Delta Core is a headset with a 3.5mm connector that delivers superb sound quality and an excellent balance of features and support for the most popular gaming platforms, including PC, Mac, mobile phones, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Both ROG Delta and ROG Delta Core come equipped with exclusive ASUS Essence drivers, airtight chambers and audio signal diversion technology to deliver high-resolution sound and deep, punchy bass for full gaming immersion. Ergonomic D-shaped ear cups with ROG Hybrid ear cushions provide upgraded comfort for gaming without fatigue.

ROG Delta features an ESS ES9218 QUAD DAC™ that provides lossless audio processing with each DAC devoting its processing power to a subset of the audible frequency range, from lows, mids, highs to ultrahighs. The four signals are then combined, which produces clearer sound with an impressive 127dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) that’s much higher than any similar technology that’s currently available in the market. As a result, gamers can hear and place in-game sounds with pinpoint accuracy, letting them precisely judge enemy distance, direction of footsteps, gunshot locations and more. ROG Delta also features exclusive Hyper-Grounding technology that prevents electromagnetic interference via a multilayer PCB and special layout design, resulting in pure, noise-free audio. Due to this innovative technology, ROG Delta is the world's first gaming headset with RGB lighting that is able to include an ESS QUAD DAC to unlock its full potential, providing gamers with rich, powerful audio. Both ROG Delta and ROG Delta Core include a new generation of exclusive ASUS Essence drivers. The drivers have been updated with Audio Signal Diversion technology, giving them a circular wall that helps separate high-, low- and mid-frequency sounds, reducing interference between frequency ranges for purer and clearer audio. The drivers also feature a wide frequency response of 20Hz–40kHz to provide incredibly strong bass and optimized gaming sound, so gamers can hear every detail while enjoying an all-around immersive acoustic experience. Housing the ASUS Essence drivers is an exclusive airtightchamber design fine-tuned by ASUS audio engineers to provide a wider soundstage and balanced output for pristine, natural-sounding audio.

ROG Delta features a USB-C™ connector for convenient connectivity with the latest PCs and mobile devices. A USB-C to USB 2.0 (Type-A) adapter is also included to ensure compatibility with a wide range of devices. Whether connected via USB-C or USB 2.0, users can enjoy pristine audio quality enabled by the ES9218 QUAD DAC on every device, at home or on the go. ROG Delta Core also offers multiplatform connectivity with a 3.5mm audio connector, so one headset is all users need to enjoy gaming on PCs, mobile devices and consoles, including PlayStation 4 Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
