Considering size, it is meant for single person. Then again TN's weakness is mainly vertical contrast/color shift, not horizontal. So you can put few people next to each other and IQ is not broken as much as it would be if one would be sitting on floor, other on couch and 3rd standing.
So while I agree that this is not exactly optimal, if targeted audience is person who plays solo...
You definitely don't want a TN for a console.
