I wonder if the popularity of the Catleap and other similar panels has finally woke the monitor manufactures up?
One of those Catleaps wll be my next upgrade when funds permit. Just too juicy not to bite. But good to see the "mainstream" finally twigging to this. They aren't making any efforts to compete cost wise. I get it's a "premium" panel but the Catleaps are getting them from the same sources.

Price is wayyyyyy too high, but it is indeed good to see that we're slowly getting past the "Full HD 1080p" era.
For someone like me from Canada, I'd have to pay taxes on top of that ridiculous high price, which comes down to 880$. You can get a A- 120hz IPS 27" 1440p monitor for 555$ at 120hz.net. Or you can buy two standard catleaps with that money and still have left over money.

I'd like to see them making higher resolutions like this (and higher) with smaller screen sizes, like in the low 20's. I don't want to have an even more giant monitor, I'd just like to have a crisper monitor.

I think apple would have to come off some patents for that to happen
