ASUS launches the first WiFi 6E gaming router ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 at 610 EURO

The ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 is a gaming router with tri-band WiFi 6E (802.11ax). The new WiFi standard utilizes the exclusive 6 GHz frequency spectrum, enabling lossless and lightning-fast connectivity.

The 2.5G WAN/LAN port puts you in the fast lane on the information superhighway, and the integrated WAN aggregation feature ensures maximum bandwidth. Triple-level gaming acceleration, VPN fusion, and console compatibility are the ideal prerequisites for demanding gamers. Additionally, the included network security and support for AiMesh elevate the home network to a new level.

  • Next-generation WiFi standard increases the speed of Germany's first WiFi 6E tri-band router to up to 11,000 Mbit/s
  • New 6 GHz frequency band with wider channels and higher capacities provides greater performance, lower latency and less interference
  • All network traffic over the 2.5G WAN/LAN port has the highest priority, realizing the full potential of WiFi 6E
  • Quad-core CPU, advanced cooling system and optimized antenna design for top-level network performance
  • Gaming Mode accelerates game traffic on three levels, every step from device to game server

WiFi 6E: The wireless network of tomorrow - today
WiFi 6E means WiFi 6 extended to the 6 GHz band. It works with the same standard as WiFi 6, but with an extended spectrum. With this, WiFi 6E offers additional 160MHz high-speed channels for multi-gigabit speeds with stable and consistent connections through the additional 6GHz frequency. This dramatically increases network capacity while reducing bandwidth congestion, resulting in higher performance for each WiFi 6E device. Selected ASUS Z690 mainboards already offer the advantages of the new standard. WiFi 6E uses the newly available radio spectrum in the 6 GHz band, a band dedicated exclusively to WiFi 6E-enabled devices. This means that older devices will not affect the performance of WiFi 6E in any way. This creates new capacity and replaces the crowded 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands in which numerous devices compete with each other.

Because the new 6GHz band is reserved exclusively for WiFi 6E devices, it eliminates Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS), which prevents interference with devices such as air traffic control radar. This means devices can connect faster without the delays caused by DFS. Target Wake Time (TWT) allows the GT-AXE11000 to schedule specific intervals for devices to transmit data. This allows devices to go to sleep when no router signal is needed and reduces endpoint power consumption by 7x, significantly extending battery life*.

The GT-AXE11000's new 6 GHz power amplifier increases both signal strength and quality. The quad-core 1.8GHz, 64-bit CPU and 1GB RAM enables parallel processing for faster speed when processing data from multiple devices, so it can easily handle even a busy WiFi 6E network. To reduce power loss and maximize coverage, ROG engineers minimized the distance between motherboard connectors and antennas. A new antenna design optimizes signal strength in every direction, and each of the eight antennas is well isolated from its neighbors, particularly the four 6 GHz antennas.

Heat can affect performance. That's why the GT-AXE11000 was designed for efficient heat dissipation with specially designed case ventilation on the top, bottom and sides. The vents on the top and sides are perfectly matched to the internal heatsink and together with the large vent on the bottom ensure efficient vertical convection that significantly increases airflow.

The GT-AXE11000 offers three-level gaming acceleration to speed up game traffic at every step. This lowers ping rates and reduces latency for a fantastic gaming experience. Full gaming performance can be achieved by prioritizing gaming devices so that smart TVs or IoT devices do not drain performance and gaming comes first. In addition, those data packets that are related to gaming are preferred over those that can affect game performance in the background, resulting in an even better ping. Mobile gaming, cloud gaming and high-resolution streaming benefit in particular from this.

With VPN-Fusion, a VPN and a normal Internet connection can be used at the same time. Even if other network users have to use a VPN, maximum gaming speed is maintained.

The GT-AXE11000's Aura RGB LED lighting can be configured to reflect network status, and the illuminated ROG logo changes color to indicate CPU load, network traffic, or external attacks. The colors and dynamic lighting effects can be selected via the ASUS Router app or the web GUI and offer a variety of visualizations.

The GT-AXE11000 features AiProtection Pro powered by Trend Micro™ with automatic, regularly updated security signatures that protect the devices and personal data from Internet threats. This powerful security solution includes advanced parental controls including the ability to block specific websites and mobile apps.

ASUS AiMesh can be used to create a whole-home WiFi network by using the GT-AXE11000 with multiple ASUS routers. AiMesh is powerful, flexible and can use different ASUS router models - protecting previous investments in devices! AiMesh offers time-saving centralized control and seamless roaming capability. AiMesh is WiFi you can count on - finally experience WiFi the way it was meant to be.

The ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 is now available in Germany and Austria at a recommended retail price of EUR 609.95.
