ASRock Z77 Extreme11 E-ATX Motherboard

ASRock shows off their newest E-ATX motherboard, the Z77 Extreme11. Based on Intel Z77 Express Chipset, the board supports for Intel LGA1155 processors and features four DDR3 DIMM memory slots (up to 32GB RAM), three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots, one PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slot, three PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slots and one mini PCI-Express x1 slot. Connectivity-wise, it has two SATA3.0, eight SAS2/SATA3.0, four SATA2.0, twelve USB 3.0 and two Gigabit Ethernet.

PLX PEX 8747 is a PCIe Gen3 bridge chip. It offers solid PCIe 3.0 lanes for PCIe devices and is optimized to support high performance graphics. With this bridge onboard, this motherboard is able to work with three VGA cards (3-Way SLI/CrossFireX) at PCI-E Gen3 x8 / x8 / x8 mode or four VGA cards (4-Way CrossFireX) at PCI-E Gen3 x8 / x8/ x8 / x4 mode.

I first saw the X79 version of this. It has the INSANE RAID chip on there which gives ridculous bandwidth. If I win the lottery, I'm SO having this board :D

hmm, i dont really see the point of this board over the extreme9 that i have. the main difference i can see is the two extra sata ports. everything else is the same except the extreme9 has 5x pcie3.0 16x slots (slot 2 always you to bypass the multiplexer chip) and the extreme9 supports 4way SLI at pcie3.0 8x whereas this extreme11 only supports 3 way SLI. thats probably because this extreme11 sacrifices 8x pcie3.0 lanes for the extra sata ports.
