ASRock Rack B650D4U-2L2T / BCM Ryzen 7000 compatible MicroATX motherboard

ASRock Rack, an ASRock Incorporation server/workstation brand, has introduced the MicroATX motherboard "B650D4U-2L2T/BCM" for servers that use the AMD B650E chipset.

The network is outfitted with four systems of 10 gigabit LAN x two by Broadcom BCM57416 and gigabit LAN x two by Intel i210, as well as a gigabit LAN for administration. It also includes an ASPEED AST2600 graphic management chip.

The CPU is compatible with the Ryzen 7000 series (120 W for air cooling / 170 W for water cooling), the memory slot is DDR5-5200 x 4 (up to 128 GB), the storage is SATA 3.0 x 4, M.2 (PCI Express 5.0 x 4) x 1, and the expansion slots are PCI Express 5.0 (x16) x 1, PCI Express 5.0 (x4) x 1, and PCI Express 4.0 (x1)

Display output consists of HDMI x 1, DisplayPort x 1, D-Sub x 1, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A x 4, and COM x 1.

Why use ASPEED if the 7000 series has IGPU? Wasn't the purpose of it to have basic display output?

I can think of this particular scenario.
Let's say you want to build Plex server and rely on the iGPU for transcoding, but you also need to use IPMI, so video output is dedicated to that task, so ASPEED is there for basic video output or simply offering backbone video for the IPMI
I could be wrong, though.

Because ASPEED IS the standard in server (kind of mandatory on pro segment), we never use IGP or APU on pro side.

Using this kind of CPU for a Plex server is like try to kill a fly with an atom bomb... :)

Most of the time there is still an output for integrated GPU, but it is never used, they use ASPEED due of the 100% compatibility with everything, and if they need more power they get Radeon pro or Quadro.
