AMD NAVI would see three video card models, $249 RX 3080 close to RTX 2070

Quite a bit of information leaked onto the web over the last day or so, whether or not that information is correct remains to be seen. However, more info surfaced and it entails the pending GPU launch from AMD, based on 7nm NAVI.

Youtuber AdoredTV once again spreads out quite a bit of information about the next generation Zen processors (Ryzen 3000 ZEN2) however at the end of the video the end of the video, the Youtuber spreads word about another leak regarding AMD's future GPUs, codenamed Navi.

If the information is correct this line-up will exist out of three graphics card series to replace the current Polaris generation mainly. The naming would be 'RX 3000 series', opposed to RX 600. We'll quickly take you through the three products.

The Radeon RX 3060 would be the entry-level card and would have 4 GB GDDR6. Here I have reason to doubt, GDDR6 is a new type of memory that is very fast and new always is expensive. it would make little sense to include it onto an entry-level product So that raises a red flag as far as I am concerned. The product would sit in the $130 range

The second product would be the Radeon RX 3070, which replaces the RX 570. It would operate at Vega 56 performance at merely a TDPof 120 watts. IT gets 8 GB GDDR6 and would costs at $200 at minimum.

The higher end card would be the RX 3080, and also has 8 GB of GDDR6. At 150 watts it would be about 15% faster than the Vega 64 which is RTX 2070 territory. This card is tagged at $ 250 (which seems too cheap to be true).

We cannot vouch for the info that is spread, and as mentioned I do see red flags here. So as to what extent and how valid this information is we cannot tell. So please read and absorb this with a super big disclaimer in mind, the info could be incorrect. Extreme caution is recommended.

It is likely we'll hear a bit more in January from the CEO of AMD, Lisa Su, at CES.

A whole new generation, at 7nm to boot, and the best they can do is +15%?
Either thats very sad, or very untrue.

I wonder if Nvidia will compete then with the prices?

I don't see myself switching from a 1080TI to any of the leaked cards... I hope they push for more than +15% on top of Vega 64.

A 250$ 150w mid range card that's 10-15% faster than Vega 64 is sad? WTF are you on about LUL
This is literally a dream GPU, if true.

If the best they can do is make a card to compete with a 2070, then yes, thats very sad.
