Alphacool outs Core 2 thermal paste
Alphacool announced thermal conductive adhesive "Core 2" that can be used for electronic components. This is the serious stuff the glues together two parts, a 2 compound adhesive.
You can attach a heat sink to a heat-generating electronic component such as a transformer, or attach a cooler to the CPU or GPU of a single-board computer without the need for screws or clamps.
The adhesive body and a dedicated applicator are included, and each is mixed at a ratio of 4: 1. The main components are aluminum nitride (70-73%) and epoxy (20-22%), with thermal conductivity of 0.9 W / mK. It takes about 10 minutes for the adhesive to start curing, about 2 hours for surface hardening, and within 5-7 days for complete curing. In addition, it is necessary to clean the coated surface during the work and finish it in about 2 to 3 minutes. Both the adhesive and the applicator use a syringe-type container such as CPU grease. It is non-conductive and has a content of 5g.

Not sure why they'd call it that. Seems to me it will just make their product harder to find, and a potential lawsuit from Intel.

On other hand it's the second version of the Core thermal paste that exist since years...
Only the word Core is patented from Intel if i remember... They already could have done that lawsuit since years.
Core 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 9 are more know as iCore or i now, and they could have lawsuit AMD using the same number for equivalent in the same wagoon

I can see someone that did not read the packaging think this is TIM for use with a cpu/cooler and bond the water block/cooler permanently to the heat spreader. Once it cures it is damn near impossible to break the bond without irreversible damage. Be even better if the cooler covers the release bar for the cpu socket and you cannot remove the cpu from the socket.
