Xiaomi launches new Mi gaming 1440p gaming display with 165Hz refresh rate for 299 USD

Xiaomi has announced a new Xiaomi Mi Gaming monitor, the 165Hz gaming monitor has an IPS panel properly sized at 27 inches. The display resolution is 2560×1400 pixels and gets a fast response time of 1ms (4ms GTG). It will also have very color accuracy with a listed 95% of the DCP-P3 color gamut as well as support for DisplayHDR 400.

The new monitor will feature Adaptive-Sync synchronization technology and thus support Freesync adn Gsync compatibility. I do not have the range available just yet. The new Xiaomi Mi Display 165Hz Version includes a USB 3.0 port , a DisplayPort , an HDMI and a 3.5mm headphone jack, it also includes support that allows you to adjust the inclination and height that can be removed to be mounted directly on the wall (VESA 75x75mm).

Regarding the price, it would be 2,199 yuan; which would be equivalent to about 299 dollars . It will be available in China from June 17 and we do hope to see some international availability soon.

It all depends on quality of IPS screen. Rest of it is quite OK.
It just does not directly say if one can use HDR and adaptive sync at same time.

being HDR 400 does it really matter? my understanding is that HRD400 is basically a standard monitor contrast/brightness

Yes it matters. Because most of screens do not have 400 nits.common screens have like 250. I have 400nits screen and have brightness toned down. If it had HDR, it would make differences in few places.
400nits is enough for HDR. What's problem is inability to actually crunch HDR data, so there is information that's being cut off.
