the Xbox Series X development kit brings a mode that allows simulating the Xbox Series S "Lockhart", and that mode is sharing some specifications that the budget-friendly alternative of the new generation of Microsoft is going to offer.

By activating the dev mode, the GPU lists itself at roughly 4 TFLOPs with a maximum of 7.5GB of usable RAM. The Xbox Series X has a 12 TFLOPs GPU and 13.5GB of usable RAMĀ  In addition, its CPU has a lower frequency, although there are no details of how much that exactly is. There was also no mention of how many CPU cores are active.

Most games with this console would target 1080p. Whether Ray-Tracing will be supported is not mentioned, older reports indicated that it would. For now, there are no official details about the Xbox Series S, maybe we'll see an announcement soon though, possibly at the next Microsoft event to be held in July.
