According to sources, a 5-person family plan for Xbox Game Pass is expected to be introduced in 2022, with the opportunity to purchase the plan being available later this year.

The family plan will use the Microsoft family account system that is currently in place for Office 365. A single Xbox Game Pass family plan subscription will allow up to five players from the same nation to enjoy the whole library. Although it appears to be a more expensive premium tier inside the Game Pass membership, it is still far less expensive than the total cost of paying for five different ones separately.

The pricing of the family subscription, for example, is still up in the air, and certain specifics need to be worked out.
