World Record for the fastest Graphics card ever recorded done on a Red Devil Ultimate, 3225Mhz

World Record for the fastest Graphics card ever recorded done on a Red Devil Ultimate, 3225Mhz

AMD artificial limits of clocks speeds, power limit, and voltages are exactly what was holding back these video cards.

As reported in our forums by chispy; Extreme overclock Legend @der8auer proved this by running an unlocked 6900xt Red Devil Ultimate to an insane 3225Mhz on the core on a quick ln2 bench session. Roman took the time to test this and proved what we earlier thought about AMD's decision to lock down these cards so hard limiting the Core and memory clocks as well as a very low power limit impose as well as voltages.

Head on over to youtube @der8auer channel and see the monster WR fastest core clocks ever achieved on a graphics card, 3225Mhz on a quick liquid-nitrogen bench session wish left him wanting more, he will mod the card and add the @elmor evc2 controller to try and reach even higher clocks speed on his next video. He will share the unlocked Bios later and we will check if it can be flash to other 6900xt video cards as there is a new tool that enables flashing the RX 6xxx video cards under windows.

Thinking about it is just crazy , so crazy to think about it. Who would it tought we would see this kind of clocks on a gpu ever ? Mind boggling actually even thought it was done on a quick liquid nitrogen session , 3225Mhz :D ...

Most interesting is that unlocked bios is floating out there any 6900xt user can now try to push their card even more.

Cool Chispy! I know your interest in this because you're just s crazy an OC'er as der8auer. And not far from where you live there is an LN2 factory to keep you happy :D.

Most interesting is that unlocked bios is floating out there any 6900xt user can now try to push their card even more.

Except the GPU chip used in the Liquid Devil Ultimate is slightly different than other 6900XT cards as it uses the "Navi 21 XTXH" chip which is a special bin with better clock speeds and lower power leakage compared to regular "Navi 21 XT" chips. The BIOS might work with other cards depending on how the BIOS handles a difference device ID than what it expects.
Also, der8auer mentions that the only special difference with this BIOS is that it raises the clock speed limit to 4000MHz, rather than the 3000MHz used on the other 6900XTs. Power limits remain the same.
